Family & Friends CPR Orientation
Family and Friends CPR $38 per candidate
Course Description

This is a basic level of training geared towards non-medical professionals. Groups are encouraged for this service. A certification card is issued upon completing this course, but this course is an AHA-approved Orientation to CPR.
The class is 2.5 hours long, including video observation and hands-on skills demonstration. Manuals are also included in the course.

By the end of this orientation, you will be able to

  • Describe the steps to perform Hands-Only  CPR for an Adult, child, and infant
  • Perform Hands-Only CPR for an adult, child an infant
  • Describe the steps to perform CPR with breaths for an adult, child, and infant
  • Describe How to use an AED for an Adult, child, and infant
  • Use an AED when available for an adult, child, and infant who are in need of CPR
  • How to intervene with a choking adult child and infant
  • Describe the use of an AED in cases that require special interventions
  • Perform Aed use for special interventions cases
  • Perform special interventions for choking Adults and Children

The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. CPR R US is proud to offer 2.5 hours of training so you, your family and your friends can always be prepared, no matter if you are at your family reunion, birthday event or simply in your home enjoying those you love the most while improving chances of survival. Participants will learn CPR through a manual which is included with training, perform hands-on skills demonstrations and have video observation that will guide you through the skills.
